Pelican Herttoniemi instructions
1. Arrival
Welcome to Pelican Herttoniemi!
Our customer service is open on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In our shop you can buy moving and packing supplies such as moving boxes, mattress covers, packing tapes, etc. Welcome to visit us!
Once you have signed a rental agreement for a storage at Pelican Herttoniemi, you will have access to your unit every day of the year from 5.30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Pelica's Smart Access app
In order to access your storage, you need to activate the Pelican Smart Access app. We have sent you an SMS to activate the app. The message contains a link to the app itself and a code to activate the app. Instructions for using the app can be found here:

If you encounter problems outside opening hours, call the emergency number 020 491 2761.
2. Loading area and trolleys
You can drive your car/trailer directly into the loading area, so you are also protected from the weather. The loading area can accommodate 4 cars at a time. Please note this when parking. When you are ready, please move your car to the curb to make room for the next person.
In the loading area, you can borrow trolleys for transporting goods. The trolleys are not locked and we ask you to return them to their place after use. Trolleys may not be left in your own storage or borrowed to take with you.
3. Access to the storages
At the left end of the loading area you will find a lift to the warehouses, located on floors 3-7. You can check your floor by the number of your warehouse: it is the first number of the four-digit warehouse number.
At the right end of the loading area you will find a lift door, which you can access with your code and behind which you will find two more lifts. On this side you will also find a goods lift, which you can use to lift your goods and trolleys up to the platform.
The lift is operated by buttons marked with up and down arrows. Note! Do not stand on the hoist while it is moving.
If your storage number starts with 2, it is on the same floor as these lifts. The lifts will take you to floors 3-7. You will also find the toilet on this floor.
4. At the storage
When you reach the right floor, the elevator will have the warehouse numbers in front of it and arrows indicating which direction you need to go to find your warehouse.
Once you have found the space you rented, please check once again that you are using the right space. The storage number is outside the door.
Open the door by pulling the latch open. This unlocks the lock and the door can be opened.
On the floor of the unit there is a safety-approved cylinder lock with keys. Note. Pelican has no spare keys to your lock.
The storage is now ready for use.

5. Opening and locking the door
To close the door:
Push the door closed, and slide the metal latch into place so that the door locks. (For lift-up doors, pull the door down, and make sure the door is fully down to get the latch in place.)
Make sure the cylinder lock tab is aligned with the lock. (See picture 2: The dots are facing each other) Insert the lock into it's place and turn the key counterclockwise. Remove the key and the lock should stay in place. Make sure the door does not open.
To open the door:
Turn the key to the right and pull the cylinder lock out of its slot. Slide the metal latch and you can now open the door.
