Access to Pelican Espoonlahti
1.Arrival
Welcome to Pelican Self Storage Espoonlahti! Check the email you received for your storage number. The letter in front of the number determines the location of the space.
A-storages are located in building A (e.g. A2101): Sillankorva 17, building on the right hand side when looking from Lidl
B-storages are located in building B (e.g. B3212): Sillankorvankuja 2, building on the left hand side when looking from Lidl
Drive into the yard through the gate. If the gate is closed, enter your access code on the device (remember * and #). The letter of the house (A/B) can also be seen on the wall of the building.
2. Loading area/entrance
You can drive your car/trailer directly under the canopy, which also protects you from the weather. In the loading area, you can borrow trolleys for transporting goods. Remember to return the trolleys!
3. Opening hours and use of the keypad
You have access to your storage space every day of the year from 05.30 to 22.00 from the start date of your contract.
In order to access your storage, you will need your 8-digit access code, which you received by email. Keypads are located both at the entrance gate and at the outer doors of the loading area.
When entering the code into the reader, first press * (asterisk) + then the 8-digit code + finally # (dash).
Our customer service is located in the A-building. We have customer service on site, by phone and by e-mail on weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In our shop you can buy moving and packing supplies such as moving boxes, mattress covers, packing tapes, etc. Welcome to visit us!
4. How to find your storage space
The lifts are located in the lobby immediately after the loading area doors. The first number of your storage indicates the floor on which the space you are renting is located (e.g. B3123 is on the third floor).
When you reach the right floor, there will be unit numbers in front of the elevator and arrows indicating which direction you need to go to find your storage.
5. Use of storage space
Once you have found to your storage, please check once again that you are using the right space. The unit number is outside the door.
Open the door by pulling the latch open. This unlocks the lock and the door can be opened.
On the floor of the unit there is a safety-approved cylinder lock with keys. Note. Pelican has no spare keys to your lock.
For easy access, you can get an access tag from the store free of charge during store hours. Once activated, you can display it on the black area of the access device, so you don't have to enter a code.
The space is now ready for use.
6. How to close and open the storage door
To close the door:
Push the door closed, and slide the metal latch into place so that the door locks. (For lift-up doors, pull the door down and make sure the door is fully down to get the latch in place.)
Make sure the cylinder lock tab is aligned with the lock. (See picture 2: The dots are facing each other) Insert the lock into it's place and turn the key counterclockwise. Remove the key and the lock should stay in place. Make sure the door does not open.
(If you can't get the lock in easily, give it a little shake while you put it in the lockcase.)
To open the door:
Turn the key to the right and pull the cylinder lock out of its slot. Slide the metal latch and you can now open the door.
