The privacy of our customers is very important to Pelican Self Storage Group (“Pelican Self Storage”, “we” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Pelican Self Storage collects and processes personal data and other information about users in its capacity as a data controller as defined in the EU General Data Protection Regulation and the ePrivacy Regulation.
1. Personal data we process and purposes of processing
We collect and process the following personal data about you:
A) Contact information, such as name, email address, phone number and the content of the survey you submit when you visit our website or submit a survey through our website;
B) Contact information such as name, address, email address, telephone number, social security number, bank details and any requests you make when you enter into a contract with us.
We use the personal data we collect about our customers when they use the website or enter into a contract with us to provide services and offers to our customers and to fulfil our obligations to our customers.
2. Third parties
- Transfer of Personal Data / Transfers to Service Providers
Pelican Self Storage may obtain certain services from external service providers who act as processors of personal data on behalf of Pelican Self Storage. These service providers may include, but are not limited to, providers of website, marketing or IT support services. External service providers may view and/or process personal information about you when providing services to Pelican Self Storage.
We ask these external service providers to comply with our data protection procedures to ensure the privacy and security of personal information about our customers.
- Other recipients
Pelican Self Storage may transfer personal data to the police, public authorities, legal advisors, external consultants or business partners as permitted by applicable data protection legislation. In the event Pelican Self Storage merges with or acquires the business or part of the business of another company, personal data may be transferred to third parties who are parties to such merger or business acquisition.
- International transfers of personal data
We may transfer personal data that we collect or otherwise hold/receive about you to recipients located outside the EU/European Economic Area (hereinafter collectively referred to as “EU”). These recipients may also process personal data about you. The recipient may be located in a country that ensures an adequate level of data protection as defined by EU data protection legislation (a list of these countries is available at http://ec.europa.eu/justice/data-protection/international-transfers/adequacy/index_en.htm). A recipient located in the United States may qualify for the EU-US Privacy Shield data transfer agreement and is therefore deemed to ensure an adequate level of protection as defined by EU data protection law. Some recipients may be located in a country that does not guarantee an adequate level of protection as defined by EU data protection law. Pelican Self Storage will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal data transferred outside the EU is adequately protected in accordance with applicable data protection legislation. When transferring personal data to countries that do not ensure an adequate level of data protection, we will ensure the protection of the personal data transferred by using appropriate safeguards, such as standard data protection clauses approved by the European Commission or a supervisory authority, or accepted operating procedures or certification mechanisms established by the recipient, in addition to binding and enforceable commitments by the recipient. You may contact us at the address listed in Section 7(Contact Us) below if you would like to see copies of the appropriate safeguards listed above.

- Other legal grounds applicable to the processing of personal data, in particular the laws of the EU Member States.
In some cases, you may need to disclose your personal data to comply with a legal or contractual obligation or to enter into a contract with us or to obtain products/services you have purchased. You may also voluntarily disclose personal information about you.
For example, we may not be able to provide certain products or services if you do not provide us with your personal information. However, there are no legal consequences for you if you choose not to provide us with personal information about you, unless otherwise stated.
