Flexibility, service and location were key when Åsa and Anne-Lie from Cook'n Bloomin needed storage for a business they started years ago. For them, Pelican Self Storage on Stockholm's Kungsholmen was the best option.
Åsa and Anne-Lie have been running Cook'n Bloom since 2013. They import carefully selected products to Sweden for both indoor and outdoor kitchens. The range includes professional tools, quality serving dishes, kitchen knives and mammoth grills. Products that take cooking to a whole new level.
“We simply make the chef shine in the kitchen,” says Åsa. Åsa and Anne-Lie dreamed of working with food for a long time. It was their great passion when, in 2013, they decided to take a risk and change fields.
“We wanted to test the idea first and rented a stand at the Formex interior design fair in Stockholm. The rest would depend on the success at the fair.” says Anne-Lie. Everything went well and they succeeded. Her home office was located in Hägersten outside the city centre and they thought they needed a storage.
"I looked at the options and asked for quotes for different facilities. Pelican Kungsholmen was the perfect location for us. "
“” We started by renting a 9 m2 warehouse. Today we have a total of 55 m2, in five different spaces. We use two of the rooms as a collection warehouse and we also have a separate room for barbecues, for example. One storage room is for exhibition furniture.“”

“Carriers cannot tell you the exact delivery time for shipments. It is important for us that the branch has a customer service that can receive the shipments for us. We unload and check the shipments ourselves, but Pelican staff can receive them for us.”
"Of course there are logistics centres, too, but for us Pelican is the best solution because we manage the warehouse ourselves."
Åsa and Anne-Lie also say that the opportunity to have a cup of coffee or work in a Pelican store is a big plus.
