How to take out Pelican insurance

When you rent a storage unit online, you select the insurance coverage during the rental process.

The insurance is part of your rental agreement and takes effect on your chosen move-in date.

If you rent a storage unit by phone or at one of our locations, we will help you choose the right insurance.

Do you want to use your own insurance?

You can use your own insurance if it meets Pelican’s insurance requirements.

You must be able to prove that your storage unit is properly insured. Reservations cannot be made online with your own insurance. Instead, visit a Pelican location and bring proof of your insurance coverage.
