Instructions for Pelican Espoonlahti
On this page, you will find instructions for arriving at the Pelican Espoonlahti location, parking, and starting to use your storage unit. Access is conveniently managed via the Pelican Smart Access app.
1. Arriving at the location
Welcome to Pelican Self Storage Espoonlahti! Please check your storage unit number from the email you received. The letter in front of the number determines the location of the unit.
Units starting with A are located in Building A (e.g., A2101): Sillankorva 17, the building on the right when viewed from Lidl.
Units starting with B are located in Building B (e.g., B3212): Sillankorvankuja 2, the building on the left when viewed from Lidl.
All drive-up units without a letter in front (e.g., 054) are located in Yard B. Drive-up units with a letter in front are connected to Building A or B (e.g., A013).
The building letter (A/B) is also visible on the wall of the building.
2. Loading area/entrance
You can drive your car/trailer directly under the canopy, where you will be protected from the weather. Inside the loading area, you will find pallet jacks, hand trucks, and trolleys available for loan. Please remember to return the trolleys to their designated place!
3. Opening hours and using the Pelican Smart Access app
You have access to your storage unit every day of the year from 05:30 to 22:00, starting from the commencement date of your contract.
To access your storage, you must set up the Pelican Smart Access app. We have sent you a text message to set up the app. The message contains a link to the app itself and
a code to activate the app. Instructions for using the app can be found here:

Our customer service is located in Building A. We serve you on-site, by phone, and by email on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00. From our store, you can purchase moving and packing supplies such as moving boxes, mattress covers, packing tapes, etc. Welcome to visit us!
4. How to find your storage unit
The elevators are located in the lobby immediately after the loading area doors. The first digit of your storage unit number indicates which floor your rented space is on. (E.g., B3123 is located on the third floor.)
When you arrive at the correct floor, the unit numbers and arrows in front of the elevator will indicate which direction you need to go to find your storage unit.
5. Using the storage unit
Once you have found your rented space, please double-check that you are indeed taking the correct unit into use. The unit number is located on the outside of the door.
Open the door by pulling the latch open. This releases the lock and the door can be opened.
A safety-approved cylinder lock and keys are located on the floor of the unit. Note: Pelican does not have spare keys for your lock.
The space is now ready for use.
6. How to close and open the storage unit door
Closing the door:
Push the door closed and move the metal latch into place so that the door locks. (For overhead doors, pull the door down and ensure it is completely down to set the latch. It is advisable to press the door down slightly with your foot.)
Ensure that the tongue of the cylinder lock is aligned with the lock. (See image 2: Dots on the lock aligned.) Place the lock into the lock housing and turn the key counter-clockwise. Remove the key and the lock should stay in place. Finally, ensure that the door does not open.
(If you cannot easily insert the lock, wiggle it slightly while placing it into the lock housing.)
Opening the door:
Turn the key to the right and pull the cylinder lock out of its housing. Move the metal latch, and you can now open the door.
Drive-up units:
Inside the unit, there are two (2) keys and a pictorial guide for opening and closing the door. When you first arrive at the unit, the door is unlocked. Turn the handle to the vertical position, and the door opens by lifting.

Pelican Espoonlahti is located along Länsiväylä, only about 1.5 kilometers from the Lippulaiva shopping center and the metro station, at Sillankorva 17, Espoo. The location is easy to reach by car or public transport. The storage location is ideal for residents and businesses in Espoonlahti, Kaitaa, Kauklahti, Sarvvik, and Sundsberg, among others.

The units are accessible daily from 05:30 to 22:00, and all storage spaces are heated and monitored by cameras 24/7.
