Instructions for Pelican Ruoholahti
On this page, you will find instructions for arriving at the Pelican Ruoholahti location, parking, and starting to use your storage unit. Access is conveniently managed via the Pelican Smart Access app.
1. Arriving at the location
Welcome to Pelican Self Storage Ruoholahti! The address of the location is Köydenpunojankatu 15, Helsinki.
Customer service for this location is handled by Pelican Tapiola on weekdays from 10:00 to 18:00 and on Saturdays from 10:00 to 14:00. (Kimmeltie 1-3, Espoo) Tel: 0207 007 755
In our shop, you can purchase moving and packing supplies such as moving boxes, mattress covers, packing tape, etc. Welcome to visit us!
To open the overhead door, you will need the Pelican Smart Access app on your phone.
2. Loading area/entrance
You can drive your car/trailer directly into the loading area, where you will be protected from the weather.
The loading area can accommodate two cars in a row at the same time.
Please note that parking in the loading area is only permitted during loading or unloading.
When you are finished, please kindly move your car to the street side.
3. Opening hours and the Pelican Smart Access app
You have access to your storage space every day of the year from 05:30 to 22:00, starting from the commencement date of your contract.
To access your storage, you must set up the Pelican Smart Access app. We have sent you a text message to set up the app. The message contains a link to the app itself and a code to activate it. Instructions for using the app can be found here:

In case of problems outside of opening hours, please call the emergency number 020 491 2761.
4. Trolleys in the loading area
In the loading area, you can borrow hand trucks, pallet jacks, and trolleys for transporting your belongings. The trolleys are not locked, and we ask that you return them to their place after use. Trolleys must not be left in your own storage unit or taken away.
5. How to find your storage space
At the Ruoholahti location, all units are on the ground floor, so there is no need to use an elevator. The storage units are numbered. Please use the specific unit rented to you. Please check the storage unit number from your contract.
6. Using the storage space
Once you have found your rented space, please double-check that you are indeed using the correct unit. The storage unit number is outside the door or marked on the door itself.
Open the door by pulling any locking latch open and pulling the door open.
A safety-approved padlock with keys is located on the floor of the storage unit. Note: Pelican does not have spare keys for your lock.
The space is now ready for use.

Pelican Self Storage Ruoholahti is located right on the border of Kamppi and Ruoholahti, on Köydenpunojankatu. The location is easy to reach from all over the city center. The location is ideal for residents of Jätkäsaari, Ruoholahti, Punavuori, Kamppi, and the entire southern Helsinki area.
All storage spaces are heated and monitored. We offer private customers storage units ranging from 1 to 15 m2. Storage units can be accessed every day from 5:30 to 22:00, so you can visit your storage whenever you want. Our indoor facilities also include an unloading and loading area. Customer service for the Ruoholahti location is handled by our Tapiola location at Kimmeltie 1, 02110 Espoo.
