Pelican Hesperianpuisto Instructions
On this page you will find instructions for arriving at the Pelican Hesperianpuisto facility, parking, and setting up your storage unit. Access is conveniently managed through the Pelican Smart Access app.
1. Arriving at the storage facility
Welcome to Pelican Self Storage Hesperianpuisto! The facility is located at Mannerheimintie 40, Helsinki. Customer service for this location is provided by Pelican Töölö (Päivärinnankatu 1), open Mon–Fri 10:00–18:00 and Sat 10:00–14:00.
You can open the doors using the Pelican Smart Access app. The overhead door is opened when exiting by pressing the large door-opening button. If you experience any issues outside opening hours, please call our emergency line at 020 491 2761.
2. Loading area/entrance
You can drive your car or trailer directly into the loading area, where you’ll also be sheltered from the weather.
The loading area can accommodate two cars at the same time.
Please note that parking in the loading area is only permitted in spaces marked by Pelican.
3. Opening hours and the Pelican Smart Access app
You have access to your storage unit every day of the year from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM, starting from the start date of your contract.
To access your storage unit, you need to activate the Pelican Smart Access app. We have sent you a text message to help you set up the app. The message includes a link to the app itself, as well as a code you can use to activate it. Instructions for using the app can be found here:

4. Entrance to the storage area
The entrance to the storage area is on the left side of the loading area.
This door is also unlocked using the Pelican Smart Access app.
5. Trolleys in the storage area
Once inside the storage area, you’ll find trolleys for transporting your belongings right to the right of the door. The trolleys are not locked, and we kindly ask that you return them to their place after use. Trolleys must not be kept in your own storage unit or taken off the premises.
6. How to find your storage unit
At the Hesperianpuisto facility, all units are located at street level, so there is no need to use an elevator. The storage units are numbered, and signs to help you find the right unit can be found on the walls. Please make sure to access the unit rented specifically to you. Please check your unit number on your contract.
7. Using your storage unit
Once you’ve found your rented unit, please double-check that you are about to access the correct one. The unit number is located outside the door or marked on the door itself.
To open the door, release any locking latch and pull the door open.
There is a padlock with keys on the floor of the unit. Please note: Pelican does not keep spare keys to your lock.
Your unit is now ready for use.
Please note! At our Töölö store, you can also purchase moving and packing supplies such as moving boxes, mattress covers, packing tape, and more. Come take a look!
About the Pelican Hesperianpuisto facility
Pelican Hesperianpuisto is located along Mannerheimintie, next to Finlandia Hall and the National Museum of Finland. Set your map app or navigator to Mannerheimintie 40, Helsinki. The facility is easily accessible from Töölö, Kamppi, and central Helsinki, among other areas.
Pelican Self Storage Hesperianpuisto offers around 250 storage units of various sizes to suit all kinds of needs, for both private and business customers. All storage units are heated and monitored by CCTV around the clock, and the facility is open to customers every day from 5:30 AM to 10:00 PM. Loads can be unloaded behind the overhead doors, sheltered from the weather. Customer service for Hesperianpuisto is provided by the staff at Pelican Töölö.
